I have been so lazy about getting on here and keeping this blog updated. Truth be told, I have recently become lazy about everything. So, what's been going on since Halloween. Well, just before Halloween, Geoff, Jack and I found out that we will be adding on to our family next summer. Looks like another little one is on the way and expected to arrive around the end of June. Geoff and I had decided to try for another in hopes that once again we could plan for a May or June baby to coincide with my work calendar (summers off). Much to our surprise we had as much luck with the scheduling this time as we did with Jack. So I have been spending a lot of time relaxing on the couch because my morning sickness is almost as bad as it was with Jack. Oh, and whoever came up with the term "morning" sickness was lucky... mine lasts all day and during the night.
We also found out recently that Jack has had one too many ear infections and will be getting tubes in his ears on December 8. Of course, I am nervous about the procedure, but I am excited that we will be putting a stop to the painful ear infections. I am also hoping that clearing up the ears will prompt our little guy to start talking more. I have already noticed a difference since we got the last infection cleared up.
This week we celebrated Thanksgiving with family and friends. My tummy held out for most of the day, much to my surprise. I was able to do some baking in the morning and eat a little dinner and a big piece of peach cobbler (by the way, Paula Deen in a genious).
Now we are about to head full force into the Christmas season. I am so excited this year, as I will be able to see it through Jack's eyes. He is already enjoying our neighbors Christmas lights and has learned to say "HoHoHo" which sounds more like "HaHowWho". This afternoon while Jack is away, Geoff and I will be putting up the Christmas tree in the house. I can't wait to see Jack's reaction when he gets home. Seriously, that's what life is about. Having the opportunity to see the wonder of Christmas through your child's eyes, reminds you of what Christmas is truly about.
