Hey Jack!

So this weekend my son started saying something like "Hey Jack." This is the kid who can only say "mama" and "mmmm" on command, but now he can say "Hey Jack." He will even say it to a mirror when he sees himself. My poor baby thinks his name is "Hey Jack."

Uneventful Weekend

Wow... I don't even have a single photo to post this weekend. It was a miserable one. Friday and Saturday I was sick, sick, sick. I actually slept for like 4 hours on Saturday. Sunday we got the bright idea to rearrange the family room furniture. So, here I sit on Sunday night at 8:45 with a 1/2 rearranged family room and whole lot more work to do. Why do I do this to myself?

Brookfield Zoo

The weather wasn't perfect today, but that didn't stop Jack and Joseph from having a good time at the zoo. Jamie, Joseph, and I celebrated Jack's first trip to Brookfield Zoo today and he loved it. The biggest hit was the children's zoo where Jack was able to pet goats and a chick, and get up close and personal with ducks, geese, cows, sheep and a bald eagle. Joey was a little nervous, but Jack had no fear. It was especially amusing to watch him chase the goats. He laughed hysterically everytime he touched a goat. It was time to leave when he decided to start giving out kisses... to the goats.

Playing Outside

Finally, a day worthy of some playing outside in the backyard. Now that Jack is a walker is really able to get outside and play in the backyard. He loves to play catch - well really throw and wait for someone to bring it back.
I just can't wait until we get a swing and a baby pool set up and the real fun can begin.
